Unlearning Ableism in Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare

The MA SRH Training Center invites Massachusetts SRH providers to register for an upcoming webinar on unlearning ableism in SRH settings to improve patient experience for people with disabilities. Experts Cory Silverberg and Bianca Laureano of Ante Up! will introduce definitions of ableism and talk about how it is a form of structural oppression, which is ever present in their lives and work. The facilitators will offer an overview of some of the common practices and beliefs of SRH care that are rooted in ableism, and participants will be invited to work in small groups to think about where they experience ableism showing up in their lives and work.
